History of the Anishinaabe

We have our own creation story, again we were discouraged to share this part of our history. It is a beautiful story especially when it is told in our native language. The whole great lakes area is our homeland. The name of the nation is Anishinaabe which covers two countries and out of this nation are tribes which some are Ojibwe/Chippewa, Odawa/Ottawa, Bodwe’aadamiinh/Potawatmi and others.
